  I took my dad’s car in to be serviced right after he passed away. There was an issue with the locks and the check engine light was constantly on. Dan, the owner, had it taken care of in a day. I was really pleased with the speed of service. However, I realized on my way home that the locks were still not fixed and then the check engine light came back on. To replace 2 spark plugs, change the oil, and replace the front and rear locks, the bill was a bit over $1300.
  I called and spoke with Dan and got the car back in the following week. He called me the next day to try to gather more information on what the issue might be, calling me later that evening to let me know there appeared to be a leak in the gas valve. He told me it would take about 3 hours of labor to get to the spot and that with everything it would cost about $300-$350 and be ready the next day.
  I didn’t receive a call the next day and I didn’t want to bother them because I know shops are busy so I waited. I called on Friday afternoon (yesterday) and got no response or call back. It wasn’t that big of a deal as I’ve been busy with other more pressing issues after the death of my father. I called today, Saturday, only to find out that the shop is closed all weekend. It would have been really nice for Dan to mention that.
  I like Dan, he’s a nice guy, but my experience with this shop has been very cliché “Woman goes to the mechanic and gets taken advantage of because she’s not knowledgeable about cars.”
